Download the Tesla-ready WAV. It arrives named
LockChime.wav. - 03
Copy to USB
Place the file at the top level of your vehicle USB drive—not inside
TeslaCam. - 04
Activate
Reconnect the drive, then choose Toybox → Boombox → Lock Sound → USB.
One custom sound can be active at a time. Choose responsibly—or at least entertainingly.

Preview the finished sounds, then download the Tesla-ready file. The parking lot audience is optional.

Choose your sound
Preview the collection and pick the one you can happily hear every time you walk away. Commitment has never sounded this entertaining.

Download the ready-to-use file
Select Download WAV. The file is already formatted and named
LockChime.wav, because renaming files should not be the exciting part. - 03
Connect your vehicle’s USB drive
Safely remove the Dashcam/Sentry USB drive from the vehicle and connect it to your computer. On many vehicles, this drive is located in the glovebox.

Place the file at the top level
Copy
LockChime.wavto the USB drive’s root directory—the main level beside folders such asTeslaCam, not inside them. Replace any older file with the same name. - 05
Select it in the vehicle
Reconnect the USB drive, then open Toybox → Boombox → Lock Sound, enable the feature and select USB.

Lock, walk and enjoy
Exit and lock the vehicle from outside. If someone turns around to look, we’ll call that successful installation.
Before you download
Four details that prevent silent disappointment.
- External speaker required.Your vehicle needs a Pedestrian Warning System speaker for custom lock sounds.
- One active custom sound.The vehicle recognizes one file named
LockChime.wavat a time. - Exact file rules.Use a WAV file under 1 MB with the exact filename
LockChime.wav. - Watch hidden extensions.If your computer hides extensions, confirm the file did not become
LockChime.wav.wav.
